Question / Issue
How do I install the POI files into TomTom Navigator (PocketPC)?

Answer / Solution
A TomTom POI database consists of a file with extension .OV2 (e.g. Speedcam.OV2). Sometimes it has an additional file with extension BMP (e.g. Speedcams.BMP). To make such databases visible on a TomTom Navigator map, make sure that:

1. The files are stored in the same directory on your PocketPC where the map data is located.
2. In the POI tab of your TomTom Navigator preferences, make sure "Display POI" option is checkmarked, as well as the POIs themselves. If the POIs are not displayed, restart TomTom or do a soft reset of your pocket PC. eg: to use the database Speedcams.OV2 in the Benelux map, you might do the following: Connect your PocketPC to the PC and make sure that Microsoft ActiveSync is started and connected. Use the menu option File->Explore to explore the directories on your PocketPC. Browse to the directory \Storage Card\Benelux. If the map was installed on a storage card. Copy the file Speedcams.OV2 and if required, the file Speedcams.BMP to the same directory. Then restart TomTom Navigator. Finally, in the POI tab of your TomTom Navigator Preferences, make sure "Speedcams" has a checkmark - otherwise the speedcams will not be displayed on your screen.
3. Make sure you are using TomTom Navigator version 1.40 or higher.
