Syncing (7/30/2003)

POIHandler supports now the new text syncing of POIWarner. This gives you the possibility to change descriptions on your PDA and sync afterwards with POIWarner and the POIHandler.com database is in sync with the new descriptions.

Weather service (7/28/2003)

We have now an updated weather service for a few cities in Europe. These services give you the current weather for those regions.

Verified Poi’s (6/15/2003)

We have now the possibility to mark a Poi as verified. This means that this poi cannot be changed by syncing or editing on the site. The only thing to change such an item is to fill in a RFC.

Added a paid service and a Free Service (6/8/2003)

Request for change (5/16/2003)

It's now possible to make a request for change. With this feature it is easy to suggest a change to a certain poi!

Loading ov2 files limited (5/15/2003)

The loading of POI with ov2 files is limited to 10 POI's.

Syncing Service for users of POI-Warner (4/27/2003)

POIHandler.com offers you a new service to synchronize the Points of Interest (POI) data between your PDA and POIHandler.com. Now you can easily maintain POI's (Overlays) on your PDA and synchronize these with POIHandler.com. Using this new feature makes it easier than ever to maintain Points of Interest data.

Removed bugs and improved ov2 output (3/16/2003)

We have removed some bugs in the poi list page. The ov2 format is now exactly to the standards of TomTom Navigator

New Layout (2/11/2003)

Finaly the site has a new layout! We have also fixed a few minor bugs and changed the main page so that you can see where the points are added since your last login.

Bug fixes (1/28/2003)

Fixed the duplicated items problem. There is also a new feature added. This is a blacklist function. When items are added to this blacklist they cannot be imported to the poi database. Only the admin and group moderators can add items to a blacklist.

Main Group in a single ov2 and .asc file (1/21/2003)

You have now an option to export the poi's from a main group in one single .ov2 and .asc file.

Groups and Sub Groups (1/20/2003)

Because off a lot of requests it is now possible to create main-groups and sub-groups. A main-group can contain serveral sub-groups. A sub-group can never contain a main-group. When you download a main-group all the sub groups will be exported in the same zip file also. You can also select a sub-group to be downloaded. The next release will contain also an option to download a main-group to one file.

Poi List View (1/17/2003)

Within the Poi List view it is now possible to show the distance between points! You can also view by page if you like!

It is now possible to resend your password. You will find this link on the logon page!

OV2 Files (1/12/2003)

There is now the possibility to import ov2 files. This is much saver. This has the advange that the coordinates are allways correct instead of converting between degrees and decimals
